Swaps…
Have you ever participated in a swap? I have. When I first started quilting I actually was part of three different ones with people I “knew” in real life, LOL. They were all quite successful.
Recently I joined in a few online swap type things…
Modern Mini Round Robin, which is going great so far (fingers crossed!)
This was my starter block that I sent out:
Stitch, which sort of went great-ish. I was to make my item for Ashlea. It was actually really fun to kind of stalk her blog and her Pinterest for ideas. I settled on one:
And when it was done I hated (OK, was unsatisfied with) it.
So, I made a second one:
This was the one that I couldn’t get out of my head. I am SO glad I made both. For the record I sent both of them to her
So, I was super happy with what I sent (and I love that she liked them!), particularly because she was a total “unknown” (to me) when she was assigned as my partner.
I have not received my stitchery, nor an email about it (after the swap mama sent a mass reminder) So, I am (currently) chalking it up to experience. Hopefully life is just too busy for whomever was supposed to send to me and nothing bad has happened. Something might show up and it might not. Bottom line? It felt good to make someone smile, so it is all good for me.
Hope everyone is having a great day!

***I have received an email from the Stitch Swap, and the gal has been having medical issues with her baby girl, so let’s all send prayers and good thoughts her way

Love the flower stitchwork you made and the doggie too! Looking forward to seeing your completed round robin piece in October!
Your mystery round robin starter block is so fun! And your little stichery swaps are so cute. I hope all goes well for your partner’s daughter.
